According to reports on sky sports this morning West Ham have been forced to abandon their bid for Ajax's Miralem Sulejmani after he failed to secure a work permit.No official announcement has been made on the WHUFC website, but it is understood that the 21 year old Serbian International has just eight caps to his name and they have been spread over two years, meaning he did not automatically qualify for a work permit under Premier League criteria.
If these reports are true then this is a real gutter as Sulejmani was considered by many to be the final piece of the puzzle, and we may now have to settle for someone like Yakubu or Aliadiere.
FINGERS CROSSED that Sky have got this one wrong!!
